Acticin Cream (generic name: permethrin; brand names include: Acticin / Nix / Kwellada-P / Lyclear / Pyrifoam / Quellada) belongs to a group of medicines known as antiparasitic agents. Acticin Cream is a scabicidal agent.
Acticin 5% Cream is used topically to treat scabies and other pests including ticks, fleas, lice, and mites.
Acticin Cream may be used in adults and in children. It was shown to be safe and effective in infants 1 month of age and older.

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Use Acticin Cream exactly as directed.
Acticin Cream is usually used as a single time treatment. The application may be repeated in one week if lice, nits or mites are still present.
