Apo-Norflox is used to treat various bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, cystitis, and some STDs such as urethral and cervical gonorrhea.
Apo-Norflox Directions and Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Apo-Norflox exactly as directed.
Your doctor will tell you how much Apo-Norflox you need to take. Apo-Norflox is usually taken every 12 hours.
The usual dosage for urinary tract infections is 400 mg twice daily for 3-21 days depending on severity of infection or organism sensitivity. The maximum dose is 800 mg daily.
The usual dosage for uncomplicated gonorrhea is 800 mg as a single dose.
The usual dosage for prostatitis is 400 mg every 12 hours for 4 weeks.
A lower dose may be required in patients with kidney problems.
Apo-Norflox should be taken on an empty stomach, 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. It is recommended to drink plenty of water during treatment.
