Doryx Directions and Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Doryx exactly as directed.
Your doctor will decide what dose of, and for how long you should take Doryx tablets. This depends on your medical condition and other factors. Doryx tablets are usually taken up to 12 weeks for acne treatment and one to two weeks for treating infections.
The usual dose for respiratory, urinary tract, ophthalmic and other infections is 200 mg on the first day, then 100 mg daily. The duration of treatment is dependent on the infection being treated.
Take Doryx tablets with a full glass of water. It is best to take your tablets at the same time(s) each day, when standing or while sitting. It is important not to lie down for at least thirty minutes after taking Doryx tablets, so that the tablet can move as swiftly as possible into the stomach and prevent irritation of the throat or oesophagus (canal taking food from the mouth to the stomach). If your stomach is upset, Doryx can be taken with milk or a meal.
Take the tablets for the full time of treatment, even when you begin to feel better. If you stop taking the tablets too soon, the infection may return.
Doryx Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Doryx, if:
