Oraxim (generic name: cefuroxime axetil; brand names include: Zinacef / Bacticef / Cefasun / Cefudura / Cefuhexal / Cefurax / Cefutil / Cetil / Froxime / Elobact / Oraxim / Zinnat) belongs to a group of medicines known as cephalosporin antibiotics.
Oraxim is used to treat various bacterial infections including infections of the throat, lungs and ears; skin and skin structure infections; and urinary tract infections.
Oraxim is also used to treat uncomplicated gonorrhea and Lyme disease.
