Pruflox Drug Information
Pruflox (generic name: prulifloxacin) is an antibiotic.
Pruflox is indicated for treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria in conditions including:
acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (simple cystitis);
complicated lower urinary tract infections;
acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.
Pruflox Directions and Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Pruflox exactly as directed.
The usual recommendations are as follows
Patients with acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (simple cystitis): a single 600-mg tablet is sufficient.
Patients with complicated lower urinary tract infections: a 600-mg tablet once a day up to a 10-day maximum treatment.
Patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: a 600-mg tablet once a day up to a 10-day maximum treatment.
The tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
